Randa

Can a room have such a singular history? Born in the winter of 2021, Limolo’s most graded room (Randa in sailboats is the “main sail”) already has a star resume.

Designed and built by Architect Luciano Pia, who transformed it into a model bio-architecture-design room, in 2017 it had debuted as the set of the film “Figlia Mia” to be directed by Laura Bispuri and starring Valeria Golino and Alba Rohrwacher, hosting several scenes from the only Italian film in Competition at the 2018 Berlin Film Festival.

A loft of projecting beams shaped at the ends like the prows and sterns of classic sailboats overlooks the room, enclosing a small bookcase. It is lit by the window on the street and another on the roof that sends back light and pleasant natural ventilation. The walls are painted with only lime and fine sand:  enjoy the reflections that make up ever-changing pictures at different times of day. Always in pastel colors matched with the mood of the room. In the bathroom only woods brought in by the swells, a vintage mirror, and a comfortable walk-in shower. A signature room for a star vacation.
